Well Well..

was just having a talk with my friends the other day about expectations and what we want in life. all of us know that we dun always get what we want in life - qualifications, career, money.. one cant always work short hours and expect big amt of income, right?

I believe in getting what one works for. If i only put in that number of hours, i dun expect a big salary. and if i want a big salary, i know i got to work much harder and put in more hours. and while the pay is not tat fantastic, i noe i'm working in a practically 'stress-free' environment and there's lots of flexibility and lots of ppl doting on me - auntie always prepare sandwich and snacks for us, boss buy us ice-cream and tea-breaks.

that brings me to contentment. I'm quite contented. i have good health, have my family, my friends and of course people who dote on me. i have a job where i can earn and feed myself, i'm able to support my family. i have clean water and a roof over my head and i have like 5 small meals a day. i'm grateful and thankful for having all these.

i'm sure all of us are thankful for what we have around us, it's just tat some of us are so 'used' to it and took them for granted. there are people who are not in good health, who dun have family, who cant work and support themselves, who dun have good living conditions, who dun have chance to study, who have just gravy and rice for all 3 meals a day. for those who read this entry, take a min to look around u and be thankful for what u have.

Oh my god.. it's been a SUPER long time since i blog.. had been doing some reading somewhere and found it interesting, so to share . .

"Understanding is LOVE..

everyone is different, their thinking is different, wadever they do is different, wadever they see is also different. even if it''s the same dish, different ppl will cooked it dfferently, either a bit more salty, or a bit bland, or a bit too sweet.

Some people say, being in love so that's why they are together but no point of being a '2 become 1' situation. there has to be attraction between 2 ppl and keeping their own individuality to a certain extent. If they have everything the same, tat's just falling in love with a mirror.

Everyone is not the same, but because of love, so tat's why ppl know how to understand. There's 2 parts to understanding. the first part - One must first put him/herself in the other's shoes and secondly to understand.

Some ppl have some characteristic traits like stubborn-ness perhaps due to their teaching when they were young, or some bad experience. What ever the other party had experience, the understanding part comes in.

Understanding means that you are able to understand and accept the other party's thinking and wadever he does. When you know that whatever the other party does or think is different from what you do and think, that's 'opening' a part of ur heart and accepting some facts. "

i remember that i had a talk with the other angel about understanding. i remember that i'm the one who can understand but i cant forgive whereas the other angel can forgive but she cant understand. We talked about this and then someone highlight to me tat if i can understand but yet cant forgive, that's a little selfish on my part. That got me thinking and understand from where he's coming from. i guess along the way, i learn to understand and forgive now. letting go is the best way to heal..

PS: the other angel, i remembered tat we had a great talk tat night at the airport long time ago.. perhaps we should do it sometime again.. =)
